ABOUT TRIMIX
Why haven’t I heard of Trimix before if it’s so effective?
Trimix was originally developed for men with severe erectile dysfunction due to treatment (surgery and/or radiation) for colorectal and prostate cancer. It was also used to improve sexual performance in other men, notably those working in the adult entertainment industry. When the oral medications (such as Viagra and Cialis, etc.) were introduced, they were often effective, and easier to administer than the Trimix injections, and so Trimix was used much less often in “regular guys.”
Can I still use the pills?
No question, the pills developed for improved erectile function – Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra – continue to have a sufficient effect that they work just fine for some men, and are very convenient. And, if the side effects aren't causing any trouble, no reason not to include them in your regimen for better boners. You and your doctor will decide whether you'd prefer the pills, Trimix, or perhaps both. BUT, the pills and Trimix don't mix well. If you're going to take the pills, you shouldn't use them within 24 hours prior to using Trimix.
How long has Trimix been in use?
Trimix has been around since 1983, so there is a tremendous amount of experience with it and its use over many years.
Are there any side effects to Trimix?
Since Trimix is injected directly into the penis, there are no generalized side effects that we associate with medications that circulate throughout the bloodstream (headache, sinus congestion, nausea/vomiting, etc.). Side effects with Trimix are localized, and infrequent. It’s possible to have some bruising or infection at the injection site. The more serious side effect is the same risk as we see in Viagra, Cialis and similar treatments - that of prolonged erection, also known as priapism. Priapism must be treated and relieved to avoid further complications to the penis. See below.
Do I really have to inject it into my penis? Doesn’t that hurt?
The Trimix medication is injected into the shaft (not the head) of the penis where it directly acts on the tissue that becomes the erection. You may be surprised to learn that there are very few nerve endings at the part of the penis where Trimix is injected, and the discomfort is more psychological than physical. The vast majority of men adjust to the injection very quickly.
How long does the erection last? How frequently can I use Trimix?
You’ve seen it on the commercials – if the erection is lasting longer than 4 hours, no matter what you used to get the erection, you need medical attention. An optimal erection is your call, within those limits. At times, you may want to have an erection only for 30 minutes, and at others, you may want to go a full 3+ hours. Trimix is recommended for use up to 3 times a week, on average, but you will find your own rhythm.
What should I do if my erection lasts longer than I want?
You’ll be given instructions on the steps to take to reduce your erection, starting with the simple, over-the-counter tips of Benadryl and Sudafed. We’re here to ensure your safety, above all.

Why do I need an ultrasound?
The ultrasound provides important information about the strength of the blood flow in the vessels of the penis. We use that to help determine the correct starting dose of Trimix.
What other medications or conditions influence my response to the medication? What are the risks?
Some medications raise or lower the effect of Trimix. Testosterone Replacement Therapy, for example, may cause Trimix to be more potent than usual. On the other hand, cold medication and stimulants can reduce the potency of Trimix.
ABOUT THE PRESCRIPTION
How much does it cost?
The doctor performs an evaluation that includes your examination, ultrasound, and test dose for $199 - $249 depending on the office location.
If you join as a member, a Rev-contracted doctor will provide a Trimix prescription for a 5mL (or 500 units) supply of medication that may last up to 2-3 months depending on your dose and frequency of use. We include all supplies, training, and clinical support you'll need for $349.
How long is the medication good for?
The medication may last 3 months or longer in the refrigerator or freezer.
Do I need to see the doctor every time for another prescription?
As a Rev member, you will have full access to us for clinical support, but there’s no need for any additional appointments or evaluations for up to a year.
Can I travel with Trimix? Any special instructions?
Many people travel with medications that require refrigeration. There are several convenient travel packs and tips that we can help you with.
Will my insurance cover Trimix?
We don’t accept insurance, however we provide you with a bill that you can turn into your insurance company. Insurance policies differ greatly as to whether certain medications or procedures will be covered at all. The amount of reimbursement will vary depending on your individual policy.
How will Trimix arrive?
Your kit containing Trimix, bacteriostatic water for reconstitution, syringes, and alcohol swabs for 90 days is delivered by FedEx via 2-day priority shipping from the pharmacy. A signature is usually required for delivery. Our packages are discreet.
